A naturally creative thinker.

Unlike a lot of graphic designers I didn’t do a design Degree but I’ve always been creative loving to draw, paint, take photos and play music.

I din’t start using a computer until I left the Navy, but from the time I saw my partner use photoshop, I was hooked. I used CDROMs and later the internet to learn how to use all of the design applications, but also I learn’t just by doing it.

I don’t think you can really teach someone to be creative, but I have learn’t from many great designers, artists, advertising managers and business people throughout my career. I thank them all for the knowledge they have passed on to me.

A graphic design all-rounder

I keep up-to-date with the latest design and advertising trends and also regularly update my technical skills with regular online tutorials.

When I was younger I used to consider myself quite a good all-round sportsman, these days I’m happy to consider myself an all-rounder graphic designer.

I’m confident, capable and creative using just about all of the creative suite. The only field that i’m not across is coding. I wasn’t born with the Geek genes and I’ll leave that stuff to the experts.

Graphic Design Skills

While I don’t like to blow my own trumpet, I believe that my knowledge and use of the common design applications give me an edge when it comes to getting the job done quickly and correctly.

There are plenty of ‘cowboys’ out there who are fresh out of design school that think they know it all, but I can tell you THEY DON’T.
